PCOS & hormonal growth
Cyclical hair, finally taken seriously.
PCOS and hormone-driven hair are often missed by laser and dismissed elsewhere. Electrolysis works at the follicle level, regardless of cycle.
Permanent Electrolysis Hair Removal · Leyton E10
The only FDA-approved permanent method. Safe for all skin tones, every hair type - including PCOS, hormonal growth and gender-affirming care. Personally with Danielle, in our Leyton clinic, seven days a week.
The method
The only FDA-recognised permanent method - destroys the follicle's ability to grow hair.
Inclusive care
Safe and effective on all skin tones - including those laser can't treat.
Every hair type
Works where laser fails. Ideal for PCOS, hormonal growth and transgender care.
Why Electrolysis
Electrolysis is the only permanent hair removal method recognised by the FDA. A very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle and a small electric current destroys the follicle's ability to grow hair. Each follicle, treated individually, is then gone for good.
Laser, by contrast, works by targeting the pigment inside the hair. That's why it can't treat blonde, grey, red or fine fluffy hair - there's nothing for the laser to see. And it's why laser carries restrictions on deeper skin tones. Electrolysis has none of that. It works on every hair type and every skin tone.
Laser is faster. Electrolysis is permanent. There's a difference, and for the people other clinics turn away, it's the difference that matters.

Who electrolysis is for
PCOS & hormonal growth
PCOS and hormone-driven hair are often missed by laser and dismissed elsewhere. Electrolysis works at the follicle level, regardless of cycle.
All skin tones
The probe targets the follicle, not the pigment in your skin. There are no skin tone restrictions, unlike laser.
Blonde, grey, red & fine
Laser needs pigment. Hair without it - blonde, grey, red, fine fluffy - is invisible to laser. Electrolysis doesn't need pigment.
Gender-affirming care
For transgender clients seeking permanent removal. Treatment plans are built around the person, not a template.

What's included in a consultation
We sit down and walk through your medical history together. Nothing rushed, nothing assumed.
What you've tried, what worked and what didn't. Often the most important conversation we have.
A close look at the treatment area, your skin type and hair characteristics under proper lighting.
Exactly how it works, what to expect during a session and what realistic results look like over time.
A small patch test so you can feel the sensation and we can confirm your skin's response before booking treatment.
Pre-care and aftercare in plain English so you know what to do at home between sessions.
Honest expectations about session length, frequency and total sessions for your specific area and growth pattern.
Consultations are by appointment.
Call or WhatsApp to book yours. We're open every day, 09:00 to 18:00.
Frequently asked
Electrolysis is a permanent hair-removal method in which a very fine probe is inserted into the hair follicle, and a small electric current destroys the follicle's ability to grow hair.
Yes. It is the only FDA-recognised method for permanent hair removal because it targets and disables the growth centre of each follicle.
This varies by person, but most people need 12 to 30+ sessions for a full area. Hair grows in cycles, so we treat each follicle in its active growth phase over several months.
Sensation varies. Most describe it as a quick heat or tingling feeling that's manageable and short-lived.
Almost any area with unwanted hair - face, body, intricate areas. Anywhere laser can't reach or can't safely treat.
Sessions range from 15 minutes to 2 hours depending on the area and density of hair.

Meet Danielle
Danielle founded Bare Essence in 2024 as a specialist electrolysis clinic - born out of recognising that too many people had been turned away from laser clinics with the wrong answer.
She works personally with every client. The clinic is a private suite within the Regent 88 building on Church Road in Leyton - quiet, calm, away from high-street footfall.
Every treatment starts with a consultation. No two clients are the same - particularly when it comes to PCOS, hormonal growth, or hair types laser cannot treat. The plan is built around the person.
A founder's commitment
Every consultation. Every treatment. Every session.
Personally with Danielle.
